Aquarium equipment

Hygroryza aristata can be easily kept in the biotope aquarium at the needed conditions. The bottom should be muddy and the tank should be sufficiently lit.

Plant care

This plant easily grows in aquaria but needs regular trimmings since it is rather invasive. It can also be propagated by cuttings.

Water care

In the biotope aquarium, Hygroryza aristata needs a strong current and a warm temperature, preferably between 22 and 28°C. The pH should be maintained neutral.
