What is VietBAC?

VietBAC’s Role in the Global Biotope Movement

VietBAC is officially recognized by BAP as a national-level partner, contributing authentic, scientifically reviewed entries to the international community. Founded in 2024, VietBAC has established a strong reputation within the Vietnamese Biotope community and with each new edition, VietBAC raises the bar by increasing the level of difficulty, allowing participants to keep up with the standards of prestigious international competitions.

The contest has earned credibility thanks to the support of several notable figures, including:

  • Associate Professor Hoàng Đức Huy
  • Professor Arif Hikmet
  • Mr. Minh Tri, 1st place in Southeast Asia BAP2024
  • Mr. Tri Tôn
  • Mr. Mã Tiến Huy

Their involvement has greatly contributed to the contest’s growing reputation in the community.

“I believe that with the efforts of myself and my team, the fascinating natural biotopes, native aquatic species, and Vietnamese Biotope aquariums will soon gain recognition from communities around the world,” – Mr. Trần Minh Tuấn, Founder of VietBAC

BAC Participation Adjustment – Viet BAC Collaboration

Following a review of all participant entries published on the Viet BAC Facebook page, BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Project and Viet BAC have agreed on the following participation framework for the Biotope Aquarium Contest (BAC):

  • The Top 3 entries from the overall Viet BAC ranking (regardless of category)
  • The Top 5 biotope entries originating from Southeast Asia

will be officially invited to participate in the Biotope Aquarium Contest (BAC).

This adjustment has been established to:

  • ensure that aquariums from other geographic regions are not disadvantaged within the BAC;
  • recognize and fairly value biotopes that participants have direct access to, which represents a core principle of biotope aquaristics;
  • maintain a balanced and scientifically coherent representation of global freshwater habitats within the contest.

This framework applies exclusively within the context of the collaboration between BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Project and Viet BAC and does not alter the BAC Guidelines for other partner organizations or independent participants.
