BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Contest 2024
Presenting the top winners of the 4th edition of the Biotope Aquarium Contest (BAC2024), organized by the BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Project (BAP), which aims to motivate aquarists to study aquatic biotopes around the world and reproduce their ecosystems in aquariums.
Environmental education and Citizen Science are an essential part of conservation. Participants in the BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Contest make an important contribution to conservation by promoting natural biotopes as they draw attention to high-risk environments in nature, introduce unknown remote regions and endangered species.
By participating in the BAC competition, contestants enrich the biotope community with their knowledge of BIOTOPES IN NATURE (BIN), BIOTOPE AQUARIUM MODELS (BAM), fishes (FISH) and aquatic vegetation (PLANT) in 8 regions/categories:

- CENTRAL AMERICA
- SOUTH AMERICA
- EUROPE
- AFRICA
- EASTERN ASIA
- SOUTHERN & WESTERN ASIA
- SOUTHEASTERN ASIA
BAP is gearing up for BAC2025 with a pre-registration announcement on April 20 and registration opening on May 20. We invite you and all hobbyists who take pride in recreating natural-looking environments in their aquariums to get involved in the BIOTOPE AQUARIUM Contest (BAC2025)!
