Xiang River, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China

China, Shanxi Province, Xi'an

The source of Xiang River, in the depth of Qinling Mountains, is a fault spring with excellent water quality. On the one hand, there are smooth fault planes and, on the other, there are rock mounds formed by landslides, which are very characteristic.

It’s very difficult to get to the source of the river. There is no road. Sometimes the branches are very low, and you have to crawl in the icy water. All wet, I climbed on the mossy stone, shivering. It’s all worth it when you see the pictures you’ve taken. The beautiful moss, the sparkling water surface and the clean white sand are breathtaking.
