China, Beijing, Huairou District, Shentang Valley
Yanqi River Basin located in Shentang valley has beautiful natural environment, rich in biological resources. In the slow flow area of the river, there are a large number of Vallisneria natans, Hydrilla verticillata, Nymphaea tetragona and Phragmites australis. Pungitius sinensis lives in this area together with other fish. Pungitius sinensis prefers the shallow areas with dense water plants growth. It likes low water temperature and swims gracefully. It is a special fish species in northern China. In order to let people know about this habitat and protect it, I made a biotope aquarium of this habitat.
