Blackwater tributary in Nhamundà area, Amazonas

Sponsored by

Brazil, Amazonas, Nhamundà

The tributary is located in the Rio Nhamundà area. The water flow is slow, and the water body is stained dark brown by the humus released by the low bed litter. The pH is about 5.5. The submerged roots, decaying branches and submerged vegetation provide an excellent shelter for the biological communities in this area. I like Heckel in this valley best.
