Chris Lukhaup is a German explorer, photographer, author, and freshwater biodiversity specialist whose work has focused on the study, documentation, and conservation of aquatic ecosystems worldwide. Over the past two decades, he has conducted extensive field expeditions throughout Southeast Asia, Papua New Guinea, Australia, and South America, exploring some of the world’s most remarkable freshwater habitats.
Field Research & Exploration: Chris is internationally recognized for his work documenting freshwater biodiversity in rivers, streams, peat swamps, lakes, and rainforest waterways. His expeditions have contributed to the discovery and scientific description of numerous freshwater species, while providing valuable insights into the ecology and conservation of aquatic environments.
