Neonoemacheilus cf. peguensis is a tropical fish found in in Northeastern India, in Nagaland, in Manipur, in the Khuga River and in Myanmar in the Chindwin-Irrawaddy basin.  The species has 20-21 extremely narrow yellowish bars, a black caudal peduncle bar and a dark brown spot at the first dorsal-fin rays.
