Aquarium equipment

Nymphoides hydrophylla is an ideal background aquarium plant to add interest to fish tanks. It may be grown in low-tech aquariums.

Plant care

It will tolerate low-intensity lighting, though high-intensity lighting will promote lusher growth, as will CO2 supplementation and balanced fertilization, though not required. Older surface leaves may need to be thinned to allow space for new foliage.

Water care

This plant grows well in almost any conditions, but it does significantly better in nutrient-rich water.
