Declining habitat is a major threat to freshwater biodiversity That is why it is so important to document aquatic biotopes as many as possible. BIOTOPE IN NATURE (BIN) is the prime data needed to build any correct BIOTOPE AQUARIUM MODEL (BAM). The data are to be based on personal research, preferably accompanied by GPS location and photos of that aquatic habitat, and include the information on aquatic inhabitants and plants.
The BIN data can be as well collected from other verified and reliable sources: Internet, scientific publications, public databases, personal comunications.
