Declining habitat is a major threat to freshwater biodiversity. That is why today it’s so important to document as many aquatic biotopes as possible.
BIOTOPE IN NATURE (BIN) is the prime data needed to build any correct BIOTOPE AQUARIUM MODEL (BAM). The data are to be based on personal research, preferably accompanied by GPS location and photos/videos, including underwater footage, of the aquatic habitat, and include the information on its aquatic inhabitants and plants. The BIN data can be as well collected from other verified and reliable sources: Internet, scientific publications, public databases, personal communications.
BIN approved by BAP Experts will appear among other BINs on the BAP Map.
