Aquarium information

Aquarium description

Set-up date
January, 2022
Aquarium decoration

Round stones of various sizes and colors, pebbles and sand, small roots, all the material was collected in nature, under the largest stones there is styrofoam to ease the pressure on the glass, the material was washed and properly prepared for the aquarium, such an environment is found in most fast streams throughout the world

Aquarium equipment

Filtration is an external Eheim 2028 carnister filter with a flow of 1005 l/h, there is also a flow pump with 1500 l/h, the filter intake has been replaced with a sponge that is hidden behind stones so that it does not suck up fish.

Fish care

There is very little work with the aquarium, the fish mostly feed on algae on the stones, in fact I have never seen them touch the floor tablets and other food, but the snails that multiply happily are much happier for food.

In the summer, it is a little more difficult to keep water cool, then I change water more often, the temperature in the aquarium is usually around 22°C.

Plant care

There are no plants just algae from strong light.

Water care

The water in the aquarium is changed every 14 days, there is not much sediment due to the strong flow of water, I clean the filter once a year or when the flow drops noticeably.
